Moving a QR code from one account to another — say, handing a client's codes over after a project wraps, or consolidating two accounts into one — isn't something you can do from the dashboard yourself. It's a request the Unqode SmartQR support team handles by hand.
Requesting a transfer
- 1Email hello@unqode.com from the account you're transferring from — this confirms you're actually the one authorising it.
- 2Give the email address of the account you're transferring to.
- 3List which QR codes you want moved, by name or ID.
- 4The receiving account's owner needs to reply on the same thread to confirm — a transfer doesn't complete on a one-sided request.
What comes with the QR code
- All of its settings and content
- Its full scan analytics history
- Its custom slug, if it has one
What doesn't move automatically
- Folder assignments — you'll need to re-file the code into a folder on the receiving account
- Account-level settings like white-label branding or webhook configuration, which live at the account level rather than attached to any single code
The QR code keeps redirecting normally the whole time a transfer is being processed, so there's no downtime for anyone out in the world scanning it.
