Every scan of a dynamic QR code gets logged automatically — no tracking script to install, nothing to configure. Where that data actually shows up depends on whether you're looking at one code or your account as a whole, and the two views don't show quite the same things.
Per-code analytics: the Overview, Scans, Devices, and Locations tabs
Open any QR code from your dashboard and its detail page splits performance into four tabs: overview (headline totals), scans (a timeline of scan activity), devices (a breakdown by device type, shown as a pie chart with percentages), and locations (top countries by scan count, each with a share bar). This is the view to use when you care about one specific code's performance.
Account-wide analytics: the Analytics page
The Analytics item in your dashboard sidebar aggregates every QR code you own into one dashboard, and it goes a level deeper than any single code's tabs do — adding breakdowns by operating system, by browser, by hour of day, and by day of week, plus a ranked list of your top-performing codes. If you're trying to spot a pattern across a whole campaign rather than one code, this is where to look.
Total scans vs unique scans
Total scans counts every scan event, including someone opening the same code five times. Unique scans counts distinct scanners, so that same person's five scans register as one. Neither number is "more correct" — they answer different questions: total scans tells you about volume and repeat engagement, unique scans tells you about reach.
How much history you get, by plan
- Free — the last 7 days, with a notice in the dashboard reminding you of the window
- Pro — the last 365 days
- Business — unlimited history, no rolling window at all
Scans show up close to real time — there's no overnight batch job you're waiting on. A scan typically appears in your dashboard within moments of actually happening.
